In Global Scholars we are discussing the true content of our drinks and foods. As homework, I would like you to comment on our blog about the percentage on the Nutritional Information section of drinks and foods. What does it mean?

    The percentages given on each drink container describes the nutrition/content in a given portion quantity. For example, there is 7% fat and another is 20% sugar in 160g portion in the image above.

    I believe it means of like how much sugar is put in and other stuff but if you don’t understand here’s an example:
    If I had 100% sugar than I take 20% of the sugar and add it in that way if I looked at the first picture I can see
    there is 20% of sugar.

    I think that percentage on food/drinks mean that that is SOME of what you need everyday. That is why it does not add up to 100.

    I think that it mean 7% out of 100% fat the same thing with all of them

    The percentages shows how many sugar it has and more.

    I think the percentages mean how much the food or drink takes of what you should have daily.

    I saw on the honey that the readings are: 3% energy, <1% (green) fat, <1% (green) saturates, 18% (red) sugar and <1% (green) salt.

    I think that, it describes how much nutrition/calcium contains in each food/drink.

    I think that 20% of sugar is how much sugar is put in it

    I think it tells people the amount of things inside by percentage like there might be thirty nine percent of suger in a can of coke.Its a really useful thing becuase it shows you if the drink or food is healthy or not healthy

    I Think that precentages means how much sugar or salt and many more is in a drink or food.Fanta has 13% sugar

    The percentage means you should have it in a day like above the percentages there is 3 percent of sugar so it means it is healthy

    The percentage is how mùch is in each section of food if it is green it is good if it it amber or yellow take it easy but if it is red maybe only once a week
