Nursery have been reading the poem The Blues by Joseph Coelho for this terms Diversity Day, which explores feelings of sadness and ways we can help ourselves feel better. During circle time, the children used their faces to show different emotions, talking about how we might feel when we are “blue.” They then drew pictures to share their own ideas about how to get out of the blues, such as playing, spending time with friends, or doing things they enjoy. It was a thoughtful and supportive session that helped the children explore emotions and build emotional understanding
