🔦 Year 3 Investigate Light and Shadows! ☀️🌑

Year 3 became scientists today as we explored the topic of light and shadows! 🔦🌑

We turned off the lights, closed the shutters and investigated how light helps us to see. Using torches, pupils explored how shadows are formed when light is blocked and discovered how moving the light source changes the size and shape of shadows. We also went outside to observe our own shadows and noticed how the position of the Sun changes where our shadows appear. ☀️👣 Fantastic teamwork, curiosity and scientific thinking all round! 🧪
