School Admissions

At Pleasant Street Primary, we have classes from Nursery to Year 6. Pleasant Street Primary School falls under the Liverpool City Council and therefore it is their processes which should be followed when applying.  The capacity for each class is 30 pupils therefore the maximum number of pupils in Reception to Year 6 is 210 and in Nursery we have a combination of a maximum of 30 full time pupils or 60 part time.

The school is also home to a Speech and Language Resource Base, please note that only children placed in a language base by the SLCN Panel can access the language base. Children attending the mainstream setting can not access the specialist support or the specialist teaching staff.

Applying for a place in Nursery class

Children are admitted to Nursery following their third birthday. You can apply for a nursery place via the school office or by completing the attached online form.  

Please note that attendance at our Nursery does not guarantee a child a chid a place in our Reception class or in the Language Resource Base

Before applying for a place in either Reception Class or Year 7 (for the current Year 6 children), it is extremely advisable that you read the relevant information on the Liverpool City Council website before completing your application.  This can be accessed through the following link.

Ongoing Applications and Waiting Lists

Throughout the year places may become available in certain year groups.  If you would like to inquire about availability please contact the school office on 0151 709 3802.  A tour of the school will be arranged if we have places available and you will have a meeting with a member of staff.  If we do not have a place available your child will be placed on a waiting list and we will contact you as soon as a place becomes available.
