Pleasant Street is a very busy street especially at pick up and drop off times.  We request that parents are considerate when driving and parking, and do not block exits or disabled bays.  Parents and carers should also leave their vehicles and walk to the nearside pavement with their children as safety is paramount.

Drop Off

School begins at 8:55am and we expect all children to be prompt and punctual.  There is a breakfast club facility available, please click this link to find out more.

Children are welcome on the school yard from 8:45 am; parents and carers can leave them in the care of the staff on the yard.  For health and safety reasons we ask that adults refrain from entering the school yard after this time.  If you need to speak to a member of staff please arrange an appointment at the school office.

The side gate will close at 8:55 am.  Pupils who are late for school need to be accompanied to the school office where they will be asked to sign their child in electronically, providing an explanation for their lateness.  It is imperative that children are punctual as we feel that every minute counts.

If your child is going to be late because of a medical appointment we request that you let us know in advance and inform us if your child needs a school meal; this helps us to prepare enough meals at lunchtime.

Pick Up

The normal school day finishes at 3:00pm for Nursery pupils and 3:15pm for all other classes.  We ask that all parents and carers are punctual as we do not have facilities for extended provision. We also ask that you refrain from picking your children up early unless it is for a very important medical appointment.  If someone unknown to school is collecting your child at the end of the day we expect a phone call in advance to inform us of arrangements.  If this does not happen prior to pick up we do not let children leave the premises before we have spoken to a contact to confirm.

KS1 pupils are collected from the school hall doors, please wait at the bottom of the stairs until your child is called, they will walk out to you.

KS2 children are dismissed from the side door, we request that parents wait on the nearside pavement and pupils are expected to point out who they are leaving with.  We will not send children across the road or to parked cars, it is your responsibility to cross the road to collect your child.

After School Clubs

After school clubs typically finish at either 4:15pm or 4:30pm.  Please check the timetable if you are unsure,  You can view it by clicking the following link.  All clubs are dismissed from the side door, please ensure you are punctual as there is no provision in school for extended supervision.
