Important Update – Drop off and pick up

Dear Parents,
First of all, I would like to thank you all for your help and understanding when dropping off and picking up your children. This is the most complex time of the day for us to manage; your support has helped us to develop good routines that in turn will contribute to keeping our whole school community safe.
Please find attached a poster from Liverpool City Council, demonstrating the need to wear a mask when picking up / dropping off children if you cannot maintain a 2 metre gap from other people. Children who are wearing a mask to school must bring a resealable bag with them to keep their mask in whilst at school. This will help keep them safe from germs on masks from just placing in pockets or school bags.
At present, staff will not be wearing masks as we want to ensure children feel emotionally comfortable and that they are entering a safe building. As ever, this is subject to change depending on Local Authority and Government guidance. For parent reassurance, school staff temperatures are checked on a regular basis and follow closely the school’s Risk Assessment in keeping themselves and the children safe. Any member of staff or child with a temperature of 37.8 or above, will be sent home and advised how to access a Covid-19 test and asked to self-isolate.
Once again, thank you all so much for your continued support and kind words at the school gates. It has been very much appreciated in these continuing difficult times.
Stay safe,
Mr. Verdin
