Letter to Children

Dear Children,
I hope you are all well and looking forward to returning to school once it is safe to do so.
It has been great to see so many of you taking part in Zoom sessions with your teachers and you have produced some brilliant work on Seesaw. I just wanted to tell you that I know how difficult it is to work from home – not just for you but for your parents too. I don’t want any of you to be worried or panic about completing all of the work set by your teachers.
I just want you to try your best. Work with your families to set yourself a timetable – this will help you get organised. This can be any part of the day that is convenient for your family. For example, I do my home learning with my children at 7pm, as it is not possible for me to help them in the day. So please don’t worry if you haven’t been able to do the work before 3pm.
I also don’t want you to spend too much time on your devices. It is much better if you do work in books or on paper and take a photograph. You can then upload this to Seesaw. I know most of you are much better with technology than I am so should be able to do this easily. If you can’t, don’t be scared to ask your teachers for help – that’s why they are there. If you need any resources such as books, pens, pencils, felt-tips etc. just ask your parents to contact the school and we will put a pack together for you that your parents can come to school and collect.
As I said earlier, I just want you all to try your best. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we can see you all back in school – enjoying meeting up with your friends and teachers.
Take care everyone and I hope to see you all soon,
Mr. Verdin
